Wikipedia Book

Yes, its true; the ever-popular internet learning resource Wikipedia has been published in book form. At 5,000 pages and 2,500 entries (which are already outdated), this tall book is a must-have for students without the internet. One thing’s for sure, the size of this book helps us remember how useful the internet really is at storing things. Nonetheless, this book is really cool. Via Rob Matthews.

Wikipedia Book

Oh, man!
I’d rather using Web than this giga ton encyclopedia.
But I love this challenge.
Oh My God! How the hell does that monstrosity OPEN? Well, I guess the good news is that you’ll never have to buy an encyclopedia after you buy this thing. The internet is a scary thing.
…Why not split it up into volumes, like a normal encyclopedia?
How the hell are there only 5000 pages there?
Scary thing is, as of now there’s over a thousand times MORE Wikipedia articles than there were when this was made. This book. Times 1,000. Scary thought.
Holy Hell! How much does that ungodly tome weigh?
5000 pages would mean 2500 sheets of paper (printed double-sided), which would amount to 5 reams of paper. If you look at the photo, it looks more like 10 reams. Doe this mean they printed it single-sided, or is this photo just a publicity stunt?
@Margo Burns: Looks single sided to me.
