Textfree Lite is a free app for the iPhone and iPod touch that allows you to send free text messages to your friends, family, or whomever. It is especially useful for the iPod touch, as this app will allow you to interact with others even if you don’t use the iPhone. You only get 15 messages per day, but that’s not too bad for being free!

In Options, make sure you turn notification ON in order to be notified of new texts recieved via email. Turn on Textfree to Textfree to ensure that both parties are able to text and receive texts for free. Remember, if the person you’re texting isn’t using Textfree, they are likely to still pay normal texting fees!
